Core Technology: Low-Temperature Intumescent Graphite
All FireEG intumescent strips are based on halogen-free expandable graphite technology. When exposed to heat above 180°C, the graphite compound undergoes rapid volumetric expansion, forming a dense carbonaceous char layer that seals gaps, blocks smoke and flame passage, and insulates adjacent materials from heat transfer.
Compared to intumescent materials based on sodium silicate or ammonium polyphosphate alone, graphite-based strips provide: – Higher expansion pressure under confinement – Stable performance across a wide temperature range – No halogen release — no toxic HCl or HBr gas generation – Long-term dimensional stability without moisture absorption

Through-Penetration Firestopping
Used inside intumescent fire collars to seal combustible plastic pipe penetrations through concrete floors and walls per UL1479.
Fire Door & Window Sealing
Installed in door leaf rebates or frame grooves to seal gaps against smoke and flame during a fire event.
Ventilation Duct & Open Cavity Sealing
Flexible and rigid grades for fireproof sealing of ductwork penetrations, open cavities, and concealed service voids.
